THAT WAS THE BEST SHAKESPEARIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!! The Set, the Actors, the Contemporaneity(Not Saying How - Gives Away My Assignment). Have to Say Though I Loved How Hamlet was portrayed, especially his quick-witted humour and his Princiness and the Singing (especially the dress). I would live in that theatre if i could. Anyone for another excursion there. Hmmmmmmmm? (Gabby would be up for it)
Passionate. Seductive. Utterly Insane. If you're not a big fan of le 'ol Shakesperean plays, then Hamlet is a MUST SEE. The actors break down all the boundaries of theatre and have contemporized this classical masterpiece.
If you haven't watched it... what are you waiting for? :D
Well after hearing so many positive comments about this production I was soooo looking forward to a rare Saturday night outing.I was not disappointed at all. Hamlet had it all.It tugged at all my emotional heart strings. I loved the build syup to the beginning and the impact of the ending. But in between was pure brilliance.Even though I had to really listen to the dialogue (as I'm not use to it) I got it!!! I felt for Hamlet. His struggle with his deep feelings of sadness, madness and not much gladness at all. Hamlet looked pretty good in everything he put on . But the best thing he put on was the show. Excellent!!! Everyone do yourself a favour and see it. It is worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hamlet was amazing! all the actors were of such a high standard of focus that you believed they were the real characters. The performance played with your most inner emotions of love and family. but at the same time it still managed to make you crack a laugh. If you are a person who loves to be thrilled and excited by the theatre then hurry and get your ticket to hamlet !
Hamlet is an amazing play! What they have done to make everything look contemporary and modern is just remarkable. I just love the performance and as Drama Student, it makes me really appreciate the different dramatic elements. I liked it so much I went to see it again! E.H.
Hamlet was by far the best play I have ever seen. The storyline, coupled with the timeless Shakespearian dialogue was seamlessly fused with David Berthold's magnificent direction and contemporized outlook. The set, the actors, the presence of mind on stage and (of course) the amazing music, made this an absolutely epic piece of theatre that transported you from your seat into another world. A world or drama, murder, mystery, betrayal and all things fantastic. A world where you could not stop your heart from beating in time with the characters on stage. P.R
It was the most amazing piece of theater I have ever seen. Just by the way David Bertol brought Shakespeare into such a contemporary light was utterly amazing. When I was watching the performance I just felt inspired. This sort of acting is what makes students like us crave the dramatic arts. The meticulous attention to detail makes the viewing experience amazing. This play has changed my opinion of Shakespeare for the better. PS I <3 Toby Schmitz G.
