Josie, I think that all of the plays performed were very well constructed. Everything ran smoothly, better than I expected. I could tell that the kids enjoyed the show, because of the excitable expression on their faces. This is when you feel that you've achieved your goal in entertainment. I forgot how tiny they all are at this age. Also, when you ask for a response they replied with very loud and excited voicesthis pumped my enthusiasm. I loved making a fool of myself infront of them and hearing them laugh at me, because I knew they were enjoying the play :)
Childrens theatre would have to be my favourite topic so far in Drama. The reactions and expressions on the childrens faces were rewarding. All four of the groups were excellent and had great costumes. I love playing different characters as i get to actually believe that i am the character and be someone who i am not. :).
I also believe the drama performances went very well, and the young primary school students enjoyed it. I got a buzz from the excitment on the children's faces. I also believe the teachers enjoyed the performances, because there was laughing coming from the back of the room, during performances.
The costumes were excellent.
Children's theatre is one of my favourite topics in Drama. My other favourite would have to be the performance in year 9, where we had play a character on an island.
I love acting out different characters, it's quite enjoyable and fun. The character i played was different to what I would usually play; which was good because I got to act out something different.
Wow, the photos look awesome! We all put so much effort into these plays: seeing those kids smiling and laughing with us just made it all worthwhile. :D
I agree with Alyssa, the photos do look awesome. Congratulations on them Miss. I also agree with Dayna by saying this would be my favourite topic so far. When you practise for a performance like this, you wouldn't expect such enthusiasm from the children. I presume when everyone was practising, you gave 100%. When you finally got out there and saw the excitement and smiles of the children and teachers, you gave 200% because you wanted to give all you had to give the audience something to remember.
I'd just like to say congratulations to everyone. You all did an excellent job. Also to Miss Fletcher. Without your guidance, this production wouldn't have been possible.
It was more fun than I really expected. Acting waaaay over the top was really fun, apart from the fact that it made me an eternal cripple. But that's not important.
It was good that everyone had fun with the kids and costumes... etc, etc, and that everyone enjoyed themselves. So... yeah.
I think childrens theatre was the most rewarding yet. I agree with josie, i think all the plays were very well constructed. When my group was getting ready to go on stage we were really nervous but when it was our turn we were all so excited. Seeing all the childrens happy faces made me smile and have a really good time. Childrens theatre is really rewarding and i recomend it to the future students.
Children's theatre was a really rewarding unit to do. I think everyone did really well on the day and the kids really enjoyed all of the plays. I think the overall outcome of the preformances was very good. I highly reccommend doing this unti to anyone who does drama in the future.
Childrens theatre was totally AWESOME!! i had so much fun acting infront of the little kids. We were all really nervous until we got out there, i think that the kids gave us more confidence than expected.
I think everyone did an absolutely great job on their costumes and especially did extremely well on the performances. I could tell that everyone had a great time when they came off the stage with big smiles on their faces which gave me more confidence.
And i would have to agree with Dayna, childrens theatre has been the best so far.
Performing childrens theater was a great experience. This has been the best unit in year 10 drama so far. I thought it was a great way to gain confidence. The audience of young children surprised me with their focused attention. They interacted with the performers and I found this very rewarding. I enjoyed watching the other performances and also liked meeting the young children afterwards.
well. I love drama and children. so performing drama to children was one of the best memories i will ever have. Our group wasnt sure if the children would respond to our questions, but they did. they even shouted out stuff if we didnt even ask them anything. (one of them threw something at me:) but.
Overall childrens theatre has been my favorite assement. i wish we could do it again.
Thanks to ms Fletcher for giving us an experience we will all remember. and of course my wonderful group from fairytale school:)
