Back to the 80's

CONGRATULATIONS to the cast, crew and staff members who made "BACK TO THE 80's" such a huge success! We are so PROUD of all the girls involved with our College Musical, The time, effort and dedication that was given to this production by all to make the show so energetic and electric was enormous!

To the Cast members: the hard slog of undertaking before-school and lunch-time training, practices, and rehearsals that you committed to so diligently over the months, has paid off!. You have proven yourself to be a 'professinal team of performers' ! WELL DONE ALL!

COREY SNR: "It's funny you know - life moves pretty fast, and it takes all of us along with it. I still love looking back on my High School days. And while they are all distant memories, now, thankfully, those memories of how we used to be at school will be here forever!"

Cast, crew, parent or audience member.......

Comment on what memories YOU are thankful to take with you from experiencing CCC's production of "BACK TO THE 80's".

Girls, you all did such a fabulous job, well done!!! Lurking around underneath and on the side of the stage I witnessed your trials and triumphs, and understood how hard it was for you at times to continue on when plagued by stress, severe sleep deprivation, and illness. I am so proud of the way you pulled yourselves together and supported all those in need. You are a true testament to the College, demonstrating your sincerity, dedication, patience, optimism and courage.

I feel so lucky to have been given this opportunity to see a different side to you all; it has made me appreciate just how remarkable and amazing you girls are. Your vivaciousness and sparkle both offstage and onstage was inspiring and deeply appreciated, especially for myself during times of stress. You should all be so proud of yourselves. You are truly exceptional young women. It genuinely was a privilege and pleasure to work with you all. I will treasure these memories forever.

On another note, I would also like to thank you for putting up with my constant uncoordinated dancing and off-pitch singing, especially those who indulged me by singing and dancing along with me!!!

Once again, congratulations on your success.

Love

We all came into this Musical not knowing much about each other, but left like family. I just want to thank everyone for all the fun times and making it a night to remember. You guys made me so proud on Saturday night when everyone was upset. With the courage you all showed (if you were one of those people crying) by getting up and singing. Also with the amount of support you showed for everyone else. I love you all to bits and I hope that we will still talk to each other at school and that you won't all get too cool for me because I love you all like family.

THANK-YOU

first off, i wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped out.

Teachers, backstage crew, hannah up on spotlight, everyone.

without everyone helping out behind the scenes, this musical would not have even lifted off the ground, so thank you for all of your continuing support and commitment.

and secondly, to my fellow cast members. You all did a fantastic job on both nights, and all of our effort, dedication and time showed. you all are fantastic people, and i got to know so many people better then i ever thought i could have.

CCC musical '08 has been such a fantastic experience and if given the chance id do it all over. Thank you to everyone involved, you inspire me to do the best i possibly can.

A quick comment... because I am busy marking and in need of procrastination.

The photos above, I think, tell the story more evocatively than words ever could. The musical was, over both nights of the performance, a presentation of colour, vibrancy and tremendous life. I am immensely proud of everyone who was involved and feel deeply privileged to have been part of the preparation for it.

Great work and congratulations to everyone!

Thinking of Nicole in her never gunna give you up song still cracks me up.

musical was pretty good ay. i defiantly got the best seat in the house by far.

The on stage performance was outstanding. Being on coms all night was a crack up, one of the best parts.

And before you ask, Kendell is NOT here, and the picket fence and orange box arnt on stage.

Well done guys. I hope you had the time of your lives.

WOW looking back to last year where auditions started and not looking at what we've done i cant believe how far we have all come. Not trying to be cheesy but the musical is by far one of the best expriences of my life. It was so much fun getting up there and putting absolutley everything you've got into the character everyone so hard auditioned for.

Even though the musical was such hard work and so much time and effort if i was to get the same enjoyment and accomplishment out of it then i would definately go back and do it all again. All the relationships everyone made with each other and all the jokes could only have happened because of the musical.

I am so grateful for everyone who was part of this amazing experience and thank everyone for making it such a memorable time in my high school days. This musical is probably the last musical i would ever be in my life but it was definately one i will never forget. I certainly had the "Time of My Life" and i hope that anyone who was part of it or saw the show feels the same.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

The musical was absolutely the best experience of my life! You know, I can’t even explain how wonderful it was to work with the entire cast! I think everyone has really said it all, it was the best time of my life.

I’ll always remember, in a certain teacher’s words, my ‘metaphorical’ trip to the Eighties!

hey guys,
everyone in the musical cast did a fantastic job and i really enjoyed watching it. It was heaps of fun to help out with sets and props, but even betta to watch the end result on stage. i reckon that the guys did the best job evvaa! Adele was gr8 with her michael jackson glove, nicole... I WILL NEVA forget the "neva gonna give u up" dance, michael feldman, UR DA MAN, Emma aka Eileen was awesome to hit such a high note for soooo long! the part that i like the best though is when Fergal has the fight with Michael and is told by...Mr Misagi? "Fergal my son... remember what i have always told...take a DEEP BREATH, COUNT TO 10 AND BEAT THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF HIM!!!! i also like the part where debbie tells michael that the difference between a bucket of crap and him ... is the BUCKET!

its puch again,
i 4 got to say that i also thought that Mel did an excellent job with her singing (as did EVERYONE)... Cindy was really really good at the part she was acting, in fact it looked like she was living the role. Kim and Tiffany (?) also did a great job of the singing. Laura was a really good singer as well. OH and i can't go past 2 particular ppl... 1 - Alf and 2 - his partner, KIRK,.. Zjana U WERE COOL!... but i still thought Fergal was one of the most outstanding!!!

I know that most of you were starting to get tired and sick during the second musical performance (or even b4 then) butu all really took to your parts well and pulled it off perfectly, your all deserve your honour!

"Hello, Yes yes, OMG, I have to go." First off though, I would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to everyone. Without you all, the musical wouldn't have been possible. Its also opened my eyes to how much I love to act. Its for sure now that im never gonna give this up.

Yes like Nikki aka Corey, I do believe this was one of the best experiences of my life. I got to do what I love, be a man (not sure about that one) and meet all you guys. I wouldn't have thought that I would share my love to act with so many people. I LOVE YOU GIRLS! (sorry, just had to add that in there)

Im a bit dissapointed though that the performance was only went for 2 nights. Gosh, I was raring to go do a whole tour. But no matter, I still had the time of my life.

Ok well everybody was my favourite character, you girls put so much energy into you're characters, how could I choose, but I do have a few favourite parts overall that i loved. Ok well Lionel, and his "School Virgin" and "Total Freakout Man". Michael- The fight, gosh we rocked in that, and your rap. Hmm, overall lets just I loved the cool guys, I hope to one day be a "Cool" guy. Corey and his gang, how could you guys not have had girlfriends, you guys were totally awesome! But Corey, lose the bedcovers. My posse, Deb, Laura and Eileen, ahh the bucket joke, you're dancing with video killed the radio star, and the long high pitched notes, you girls were wonderful.

The cool girls, why wouldn't you date me, I mean come on! Overall, the combintion of your saucy attitudes and hypercoloured outfits was pretty awesome. The teachers, oh you guys should consider careers in education. Miss B- Oh I just loved you, but sorry it seems you and I are already taken. Mr Cocker- one word "Nuts". Dancers and other cast members, oh you guys were radical.

Lastly, I would like to mention a couple of notable thankyous. First off, the teachers and sound lighting people, wow you guys may have not been on stage, but you all put in so much. This production wouldn't have been possible without you all. Secondly, the stage crew, gosh you guys did an awesome job, we wouldn't be able to do as much without stage direction, and props.
And last of all, my mum and Alyssa's mum. Without all the travelling you did and the late nights I wouldn't have been able to get and be in the musical.

Oh and of course all you guys who were in the musical and came to the musical. What would we have done without an AUDIENCE.

Even though I am the "Geek" and that the musicals over, I still hope to be friends with everyone who was a part of it. I never thought I could learn so much. Everyone taught me a thing or two and I am so grateful. Hope to keep in touch - Thanks to the World Wide Web and Palm Fitting Mobile Phones!

Signing Off for the Last Time,
Feargal Bobby McFerrin the 3rd!

What a show all of you put on for us It was worth every cent of the admission price. I wish it was in the movies right now so I could get everyone I know to come and see it coz it was soooooo great. I can't get it out of my head. Of course Feargal was my favourite I am so proud of Bec My other fav was Billy Luv your work Billy. Everyone was just super and worked so hard to bring out their very best in their character. Thanks to the teachers and all the background people your hard work paid off I have heard nothing but praises Again a fantastic show that shows the true talent and spirit of Corpus Christi

This was my first musical, and I'm really proud of everyone and their efforts to make this a success! Great work guys. :D

People still have trouble realizing that it was an all-girl production, haha... Looking at the photos, I realize 'Gosh, I really do look like a guy!'

Until next musical,
Alyssa
